Technical Problems? Contact Student Services or Technical Services

Let’s talk about your computers. “Plan B” What are your options if you can’t access the course, discussion board or the seminar from your own computer? The unit week continues, even if you don’t!

Another Technical problem: Booted out of seminar~

COURSE MATERIALS: Microsoft Word Not Microsoft Works, Word Perfect or WordPad. It must be Word. That is a Kaplan requirement~

SYLLABUS The syllabus is “the bible” of the class. The syllabus covers Kaplan’s policies and expectations. Be sure to read it thoroughly.

Syllabus: Discussion Board 1 st Post: Saturday Each Unit Must post on 3 different days Must respond to at least 2 classmates Exchange ideas on topic Get feedback, give quality feedback Use at least one resource once a week Have fun! Quality (40%), Participation Guidelines (30%), Clarity and Organization (20%), Professional & Netiquette (10%)

To receive maximum points… 1. Post more than 4 quality posts for the question. Quality posts is: Your answer to the original posting should be in the word range. Subsequent responses to classmates (at least 3) or myself should be in the word range or at the very least a 3- 4 substantial, sensible sentences. This is a discussion so you want to be sure to interact with classmates frequently; not just on one day. That means 4+ good posts per unit on 3 different days.

2. Be sure to use spell check. Check for proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Good writing skills are becoming more and more important in the business world today. Avoid chat room lingo in discussions and seminar. Show me how you WRITE.

Assignments: Answer questions each week Complete by applying concepts you have learned in the unit Submit through the Dropbox Review the rubric for guidelines If something is confusing, check with me

Grading The DB grade is updated by Saturday night each week. Project grades will be posted within 5 days of the due date. Remember: Submit projects on time! Remember: Submit projects on time!

Important!  Read the Syllabus!  Read all Announcements!  Read Doc Sharing/Webliography postings!  Read s!  Read comments in returned assignments. Your grade depends on it.
