1 We will begin on the hour. In the meantime, feel free to chat with your classmates. "When there is a start to be made, don't step over! Start where you are." ~Edgar Cayce

2 How the seminar works: I will post a question and then give you time to respond. You will participate by typing your responses in the textbox at the bottom of the screen. Then you click “Send” to submit your comment. You may all respond at once. I will give you time to read one another’s comments as well. Welcome!

9 Please read the following carefully! Online students in associate's-level programs in the School of Arts & Sciences will be considered conditionally admitted to the University and will not be considered regular students or receive aid while in this status. All University policies nevertheless apply to such students, and they enjoy all the rights and resources of a fully instated student during the period of conditional admittance. At the end of the third week of classes, the University will review the academic performance of online conditionally accepted students. Students must be earning a minimum grade of 2.0, a 73% or higher, in both first-term courses, at the end of the third week of classes. Online students who have earned up to that point, a 73% or higher overall grade in both of their first-term courses will become fully instated students, and will only then be eligible to earn financial aid, course grades, and continue in their program. The University will reverse the enrollment of any student not meeting these criteria, and such a student will not owe any financial obligation to the University except for the tuition deposit, which is not refundable after day six of the term. Students whose enrollments are reversed in this manner may not reapply for admission for one year. Please refer to the KU Catalog Addendum, Published May 12, 2010, for complete policy details. A copy has been placed in Doc Sharing.

25 Academic Integrity Submitting your own work. If you use another source when writing an assignment, be sure to cite that source at the end of your paper. Academic Integrity is an important part of your education. A degree is worth nothing if you did not earn it honestly. If you have not yet read the plagiarism policy in the syllabus, please do so. Plagiarism is a serious offense at Kaplan University. I will not tolerate stealing others' work.
