Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain For our business we need to develop a website that will explain the process of our hydro printing, show our in-store products, and explain the process of sending their merchandise to us for dipping to our customers. As the owners and managers of our business, we need to be able to manage our website by updating our information when needed and effectively communicating our process to our customers. Our customers will be able to login to our website as members to place orders, to pick their designs and to send their merchandise to us for dipping. Project Plan: System Requirements

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Project Plan: Critical Success Factors We need to have a data driven website that showcases our in store products, our different patterns, and thoroughly explains our process. It needs to be easy for new users to navigate through our pages and understand our process. Our contact information needs to be easily located on the site.

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Project Plan: Feasibility Studies Operational Feasibility Study – the study will show us whether or not the website helps us find new customers and if it helps current customers easily find the patterns that they are looking for. We need to know if the customer will be able to understand our process from reading about it on our website. Schedule Feasibility Study – this study will help us as a business because we need be able to keep track of all of our events over the span of 1 month that we are implementing it in. This is important to know because we are opening our website to the public on a national holiday (Black Friday).

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Project Plan: Mile Stones November 1, 2012 – Project and business requirements completed November 3, 2012 – Database models completed and sent off to programing company November 8, 2012 – First prototype completed November 11, 2012 – Second prototype completed November 13, 2012 – Database models received from programing company November 14, 2012 – Website completed and ready to be tested November 17, 2012 – User documentation due November 20, 2012 – Website approved for launch for midnight Thanksgiving night November 23, 2012 – Website open to public; database models are fully functional

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Analysis: Business Requirements Our system must: Clearly explain the hydro printing process to the customer Work with all operating systems Allow customers to give feedback on our products and services Have an online ordering and payment center and clear instructions with ship their items to us Allow employees access to the server to respond to the customers feedback

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Diagram: Login This process diagram allows users to login using their user ID and password which is stored on our server. If they are new users, they will be able to create a new user ID and password. This allows the customer to create their own shopping cart and upload the designs that they want printed.

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Diagram: Order Process This diagram shows the order process once a customer is already logged in. When the customer views the product, they can decide either to purchase or not to purchase. If they decide to purchase they are asked to give payment information and they receive a final confirmation of their order via . If they decide not to purchase, they are then logged off.

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Develop This webpage is our choice for the prototype design because it is simple to navigate and provides easy access for our customers to reach us. Since we used Expression Web to create the page, it will be easy for us to manipulate the website as needed to make corrections or update the site as a whole.

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Implementation Our company will use the plunge conversion implementation method because we are trying to get our new system up and running within a month. The plunge method is also very appealing to us because it allows us to focus all of our energy and resources on the new system, instead of on trying to maintain the old while we bring in the new. All of our employees will be completely trained in all facets of the new system so that they can use there expertise to train future employees. The training that our employees will receive includes, product and customer databases, website operation, online payment options, and how to effectively offer customer support.

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Implementation: User Documentation New customers: New customers will be directed to create a user account and provide us with information including their: name, address, city, state, zip code, etc. Upon completing the creating a new user account process they will be able to login just like rest of the existing customers. Existing customers: Our existing customers will be able to easily access their account by entering their userID and password. Through their user account, customers will also be able to see the special deals available to them at any given time as well as orders that they have started but not yet completed, previous orders, and recent orders that are in the process of being printed. Payment methods: Upon deciding to place an order, the customer will be prompted to enter the shipping method that they want to use. The customer then has the option to pay with any of the acceptable payment methods that we have including: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or PayPal. Orders: After an order has been successfully completed, a confirmation will be sent to the customer, as well as a tracking number so they can see where there orders are in the shipping process.

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Maintaining Our Website Cory Schroeder is the CTO. He and the owners will be responsible for performing system checks and solving any problems that arise. He will be in charge of responding to all of the customer comments and concerns. He will also be in charge of adapting and customizing the system based on customer feedback. We will rely mostly on preventative maintenance and customer feedback.

Plan Design Analyze Develop Test Implement Maintain Maintenance Schedule Month of December: We will perform system scans daily for viruses, malware, and spyware. We will test our links daily and make sure that our payment process is functioning and make sure our database is running smoothly. Effective Jan. 1, 2013 Our daily maintenance will turn into weekly maintenance. We will respond to customer and employee comments and concerns promptly. Annual software updates will be implemented to keep up with adapting technology. We will also change the website design as deemed necessary.
