Why are we going? What will we see & do? We’re on our way! Tour basics About our travel company

Tour basics Getting there We will depart from Millom School by coach on Monday 24th November at 5.30 and will arrive in Ebblinghem at about 6:00 pm. Please drop your child off at Millom School at 5:00 am on 24th November. We will cross the Channel on the Eurotunnel.

Returning home We will leave at 9:00 am on Thursday 27th November and arrive home at 8:00 pm. Please note this arrival time is an estimate and we will contact you to inform you of any delays we may face.

Tour basics Our accommodation We will stay at Chateau d'Ebblinghem in Ebblinghem for 3 nights. This accommodation is on a full board basis. Students will be sharing rooms, with up to 4 students in each room. The secluded location of NST’s Château d’Ebblinghem, and the fact that each group has its own accommodation block makes our accommodation particularly safe. In addition, a member of NST staff is always on duty overnight.

Tour basics Meal arrangements Our trip is on a full board basis, with our first meal on Monday evening and our last one on Thursday lunchtime (packed lunch). Students will need food for the journey down to France on Monday. We will have our own dining room and students will be able to make their own packed lunches.

Tour basics Travel tips – money The currency in France / Belgium is the Euro. We recommend that students take no more than 30 Euros with them on the visit in cash. Please note we will not be able to change money while we are there. Students will also need a small amount of British pounds for our services stops.

Tour basics Travel tips – packing The weather in Northern France at this time of year is likely to be cold and damp! As such, I recommend that students pack the following essential items for their tour: -A waterproof coat -Warm clothes (we will be spending quite a lot of time outdoors) -An adaptor -A towel -Christmas hat / jumper for Christmas diner on Tuesday ?
