2 Purpose Further the scientific knowledge of the participants and support the curriculum followed in class. Experience life and culture of another country. Practice of the language skills in a real-life situation.

3 Itinerary Sunday 11th Departure from Castlebrae at around 9pm Monday 12th Arrive in Paris – approx. 3pm Arc de Triomphe/Champ Elysees – pm Eiffel Tower and dinner in Saint Germain des Pres – Evening Tuesday 13th La Villette – am La Villette – pm Sacre Coeur and sightseeing, dinner in Montmartre – Evening Wednesday 14th Museum d’Histoire Naturelle – am Lunch in the Jardin des Plantes Notre Dame and free time in the Quarter Latin/Saint Germain des Pres – pm Dinner in the Quartier in Latin – Evening Thursday 15th Sewers, Stade de France – am Depart Paris – pm Friday 16th Arrival in Edinburgh – (drop off point – Castlebrae) 6.30am

4 Tour organisation and accommodation The accommodation will be in FIAP Jean Monet. It is well located being in the 14th district of Paris and 3.5km from Notre Dame. The amenities include large self-service dining room, table tennis room, a free disco (specific nights). The bedrooms accommodate between 3 and 7 students; staff will have twin rooms or single (if available). All lunches are provided by the centre, we are staying in. Eating out at night is also included in the cost. This will give the students a chance to experience new types of food and the atmosphere of evenings in Paris.

6 Code of Conduct 1) I undertake to participate fully in all aspects of the Paris Trip and other activities organised during the stay and to follow the instructions of the party leader. 2) I agree that no alcohol will be consumed or purchased during the visit. 3) I will be on time for all activities. 4) I agree to act in a responsible manner and to be an ambassador for my school and the City of Edinburgh, e.g. –I will show respect for others by: a) showing consideration for other people in the accommodation and at the trip venues. b) not using language or behaving in a manner that might cause offence to anyone else. c) respecting the property of others d) respecting the customs and habits of the country 5) I agree that no sexual relationships or illegal drug taking will take place. 6) I agree that I will not take a mobile phone with me on the trip. I understand that should I fail to honour the terms of items 2 and 5 of this contract I will immediately be sent home at my own expense.
