Standard Logo Create a banner graphic to use as your logo in your favorite image editing program Name the file: "logo.jpg" or "logo.gif". Example: Upload the logo.jpg file to your site files folder

This technique may be used in any theme. 1.Create a banner graphic in your favorite image editing program. 2. Insert the image in the topic summary area of your moodle course. Example:

Create a word cloud and take a screen shot to capture it. Wordle.Net Wordle.Net

Wingdings/ Webdings/ Hoefler Text Ornaments are a quick and easy source of graphics

Step by Step instructions for linking to activities: 1. Under "Course Settings", Choose "Topic Format" 2. Create 2 topics 3. Add Activities and lessons to the second topic 4. Using embed scripts that are available on many websites you may easily add features to your Moodle page. This is called a Mash-up.

Example: youtube.com (if youtube is blocked your movie will be blocked)

Other sites that permit embedding of videos or small apps (widgets or gadgets): Teacher Tube (videos) Nings (videos) PageFlakes Widgetbox Yahoo Widgets Google Gadgets directory?synd=open

Example of an embedded website using iframes: ource/view.php?id=197 ource/view.php?id=197

This example was made with the NVU html editor which is available for free at nvu.com

This is what the Moodle web page looks like with the code that was copied and pasted.

1.Chameleon Theme, CSS 2. Finding new themes online 3. Create your own favicon

Chameleon offers almost complete control over the style of your Moodle page. Shift click anywhere on the Chameleon page to open a dialog box which allows you to: 1. create a CSS selector to edit 2. browse an overview of your edited styles 3. edit your complete stylesheet by hand

Chameleon Theme Test Site This is a website to try out the features of the chameleon theme. Login with the username and password: chameleon

Many favicon generators are available online. Favicon.cc was used to create the favicon in this example.

After creating your favicon, save it as "favicon.ico"

After creating your favicon, save it as "favicon.ico"
