2 Be A Reading Star  I want every child that comes into my library to love to read.  My goal is to try every avenue to find the right book for the right child so that they can become lifelong readers.

33 Missouri Read Aloud Day  2 nd Friday in March  House Bill 795  Representative Mike Kelley  This bill designates the second Friday in March as “Missouri School Read-In Day.” The day is to be appropriately observed with activities that promote an increased awareness of the importance and benefits of reading and that encourage greater emphasis on reading in the school and in the home.

39 Bulldogs Read Bags  Each bag contains 7 books  Get a different bag each week  Students sign up at the beginning of school  I check to see if 7 books are in bag, if not replace book and put a different tag on the bag.

40 Bulldogs Read Bags  Students place bags in collapsible carts on Wednesday.  We pick up and change bags, and place outside of classrooms and teachers hand out before going home.  The carts are kept outside of the library so that students can return bags if they have forgotten.
