 Verbal  taunting  expressing physical superiority  threatening harm  making threats to secure silence “If you tell, I will…”  Nonverbal  making threatening gestures  destroying/damaging property  pushing/shoving  stealing  tripping/causing a fall  initiating fights

 Verbal  insulting remarks  namecalling  teasing about clothes or possessions  insulting family, intelligence, athletic ability, etc.  harassing or frightening phone calls  publicly challenging  Nonverbal  giving dirty looks  holding nose or other insulting gestures  defacing or falsifying schoolwork  ostracizing  defacing or destroying personal property

 Verbal  gossiping/spreading rumors  public teasing about clothes, looks, etc.  insulting race, gender  undermining other relationships  threatening group exclusion  Nonverbal  passively excluded from the group  playing mean tricks  making someone look foolish

 Important Things to remember when online :  1. You have no proof that the person on the other end of your conversation is who they say they are  2. Online bullying is just as serious as face to face bullying/harassment  3. Once you put information online, you may not be in control of it  Stop, Block, and Tell an adult if someone says something that makes you uncomfortable

 It seems so much of my time and energy has been focused on making or trying to make other people love me. The unspoken belief was that if I could make myself lovable to others, I would feel loved. Therefore, I spent much of my life trying to be more beautiful, skinnier, funnier, sweeter, and on and on. Every time I felt sad and not accepted, I would try changing something about myself….but it isn’t about what anyone else thinks of me. The truth is, I can only feel loved by others when I love myself. If I don’t love myself, I will never feel loved.  -Kimberly Kerberger
