 Welcome and introductions  10:15 – 10:20 Tips and Guidance on the other steps in the subcommittee lifecycle  10:20- 10:25 – Data Dash Idea  10:25 – 11:10 - Updates from active subcommittees  Updates on outside initiatives:  Dianna Anderson– 11:10-11:40  Colorado Information Marketplace:  Greg Matthews (USGS) – 11:40 to noon

1. Set an Objective 2. Develop of Schedule 3. Develop a Data Model 4. Develop a Data Merge Plan 5. Build the Data 6. QAQC 7. Develop Metadata 8. Develop a Data Sharing Plan 9. Develop an Update Plan 10. Publish to Regional Data Catalog 11. Celebrate Success!!! 12. Dissolve Subcommittee 13. Focus on Next Dataset/ Subcommittee Priority

Step 4  Developing a Data Merge Plan  Who does this apply to: Subcommittees that are compiling information from local jurisdictions  Tip: Consult Tech Team

Step 5 & 6  Building and QAQCing the Data  Tip: Consider interactive, collaborative work sessions.  Online collaboration – Google Docs  Work Webinars  Co-locate  …anything to get together and actually work through a problem/create data

 What: A collaborative work session  When: Nov. 2, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Where: Metro State College - Geography Computer Lab  Topic: Common Spaces  Who should attend: Local experts and anyone who has knowledge or interest in Open Spaces in our region  Why: To fill in gaps, fix geometries, and complete attribution for a regional Open Spaces dataset  Keep in mind:  The goal is to end the day with a regional dataset. If you can’t be there to contribute data, we’ll have to fill it in somehow.  This dataset informs our land use model and is used for many of the forecasts that DRCOG provides to our member governments. Help us help you by attending and helping us make more accurate data!

 DRCOG Chair: Robin Reilley  Co-Chair: ???  Accomplishments: ready to create data!  Challenges: Produce a regional Open Space Layer at the Data Dash  Schedule: Data Upload for Dash  Next Meeting: TBD

 Accomplishments: 1. Met with Tech Team on needs assessment. Came up with Data Dash idea. 2. Finalized data schema 3. Sent out Data Dash instructions 4. Received data from Colorado State Parks.

 Schedule:  October 1Upload your open space data  October 1-31DRCOG will do an assessment of uploaded data to determine high priorities areas to work on in the Data Dash  November 2Data Dash!

 If you're interested in attending, please RSVP by Oct. 19 to Robin Reilley at  Send us your Open Spaces data by Oct. 1. We'll analyze it to find the high-priority areas to fix so that we can hit the ground running during the Data Dash.  You can load data here: ftp://ftp.drcog.org/1_CommonSpaces_Data/ftp://ftp.drcog.org/1_CommonSpaces_Data/  Contact Robin Reilley for upload information  If you think it might be helpful upload your Open Space Plan to reference during the Data Dash  Check out the regional Open Space Plan.Open Space Plan  Tell your friends! All who are interested are welcome to participate.

DRCOG Chair: Christine Connally Co-Chair: Kirk Hayer  In the process of improving Building Types for the Buildings table  Preliminary Model Run and Prioritizing the data  Purchasing data  Please submit your building types and definitions of buildings  If anyone is interested in joining the subcommittee, please let me know

 Chair: Ashley Summers  News:  Dissolved this group due to inability to coordinate a purchase on a regional scale.  Successes:  Created a regional data model for future use.  Opened lines of communication with the vendor and started cost negotiations so jurisdictions can continue to pursue a purchase on their own.  Lessons Learned:  The cost of planimetric features is high -> need to budget a year or two in advance.  Planimetric needs are complicated and varied across the region so a regional data purchase will be challenging.

 Chair: Ashley Summers  Accomplishments  All areas have been flown.  All Interim Data Available in WMS  48 Partners to Date  Schedule:  Final Imagery is being processed according to schedule and should be delivered in December.  Custom orders are being compiled.  Meetings:  Last Meeting: June 27 th (Aug. meeting cancelled and status report ed instead).  Next Meeting: October 24 DRCOG
