Installing Offline configurator PC requirements Any PC capable of running Windows XP or Vista. (Software may work on other version but has not been tested) Installing offline software Download both the Installer (e-config2xx.exe) and the data file (xxx.zip) to the same folder on your PC. Ensure you have administrator rights to the PC Close ALL programs before running the installer Run the installer (e-config2xx.exe) if running Vista then you may need to right-click and use ‘run as administrator’ Select the installer language from the list. (This is ONLY the installer and not the configurator program. Limited language options available) Click OK to start the installation process

Simply follow the instructions (not forgetting to tick the agree to the terms and conditions on the second screen) Next Next Next Next Next Next

Using Offline configurator Sign into system You will now have a desktop icon to run the program or it will be located under programs e-config. You will need to provide your user details the first time you run the program. These are stored and cannot be changed without re-installing the program You will need to complete all the user details (As the system will only be used offline the login name is not important, also you can enter any information for NIF: and Dealer code: ) Loading county information Use the Browse button to find the data file you downloaded

Use the Browse button to find the data file you downloaded (This will usually be a ZIP file located in the same folder as the program you downloaded) This data file contains All the language descriptions and price information for your local market. It is possible that you will have several data files with updated information so please ensure you select the correct version. When you have identified the correct version select Open and then click Step 2 Any fields that have problems will display a ! (You must correct any problems before you can continue)

Using Offline configurator Selecting Default language You can now select your default language. (The available languages are country dependant based on the database file) You can change the displayed language at any time by simply clicking the <More languages> TAB in the top left of the screen. (Again the available languages will be country dependant)

Using Offline configurator Starting a configuration Starting a new configuration requires entering customer details Recorded fields Project name Company ID Company Name / Address City and postcode. Non recorded fields and will be removed when you display the quote again Contact name Contact phone E-mail ( As the system is a ‘copy’ of the online version for ISM reasons these details are not recorded) When the details have been entered select <Record changes> and you can then start the technical part of the configuration.

Using Offline configurator Starting a configuration Internet explorer 8 ONLY ensure you select compatibility mode (you will be unable to enter any values into the Quantity box if this is not checked) Step 1 Select the quantity of :- Analogue (SLT) phones Digital (DPT) phones IP SIP Phones / Licences VoIP (IPT) Handsets, licences and adaptor... Hybrid (APT) phones and consoles DECT hand sets and accessories Applications / software Other - Panasonic It’s here you will find general items that does not fit into the above categories Other – Dealer This allows the dealer to add any items to the quote. Please note that it will be on a quote-by-quote basis, the system does not store the items

Using Offline configurator Analogue (SLT) Phones Under this TAB you can enter the quantity of analogue phones available for your market. ( If no analogue phones have been setup for your market then this TAB will not be displayed) Digital (DPT) phones Under this TAB you can enter the quantity of Digital, expansions DSS and USB together with any Bluetooth modules. ( As above the items in the list is market dependant) IP SIP Phones / Licences Here you can enter available SIP phones. The system can calculate the number of licences requires (this will be covered later)

Using Offline configurator VoIP (IPT) Handsets You can enter the quantity of IPT handsets that connect via a IP-EXT card or DSP/licence. IPT handsets that connect only via DSP/licence e.g. KX-NT400 IPT handsets that only connect via IP-EXT card e.g. KX-NT136 Adaptors are automatically calculated based on the number and type of IP phones selected. You can disable this feature simply by clicking <AC Adaptors> end ensuring it changes from green to grey . You will see a warning when you disable this feature giving the following options Not Disable - Keep the feature enabled with no change Exit and Keep – Keep the quantity of adaptors currently selected Exit and remove - disable feature and remove any calculated adaptors When disabled you can enter values into the AC adaptor field to increase or reduce the quantity, if using PoE instead of adaptors

Using Offline configurator DECT You can enter the quantity DECT handsets plus accessories Software Select the quantity of application software including CTI 1st party, CTI 3rd party CA etc… ( The exact items will be market dependant ) Others – Panasonic This category will contain any Panasonic items not contained within the other sections. It will usually contain a large list of general items and will vary vastly with each market

Using Offline configurator Other Dealer You are totally free to enter any dealer specific items to the quotation. Note that the items will need to be entered on a quote-by-quote basis. They are only stored against each quote. Reset All This will reset all items entered under Terminals You will see a warning message before all items are deleted

Using Offline configurator Step 2 System Options Select the quantity of :- Trunk Lines Analogue No CID detection – number of analogue CO lines required without CID CID detection – As above but you require Caller ID on the lines Tone detection – The user requires tone detection on the Co line ISDN BRI (ISDN2e) - Number of Basic Rate ISDN trunk lines required PRI (ISDN30e) - Number of Primary Rate ISDN trunk lines required VoIP H323 lines - Number IP lines with H323 SIP lines - CODEC - Type of compression required G711 G729 Traditional TIE Lines E1 digital links E&M DC-5 link

Using Offline configurator Step 2… System Options Select the quantity of :- Extensions You can allow the system to populate the extensions by clicking <Calculate Extensions>** This will calculate the quantity and type based on your selection of telephones in step1. Analogue Extensions Basic SLT - Extensions without caller ID CID Support – As above but you require Caller ID Message Waiting – The user requires message waiting lamp Digital Extensions DPT (DT3xx) using DLC Terminals Type 1 : DXDP connection Old DPT DSS consoles IP Extensions IP-PT users SIP users - IP softphone Softphone Recording CODEC G711 G729 Hybrid Extensions Analogue Phones Analogue XDP ports ** The <Calculate Extensions> will only copy the quantity its up to the user to define how they will connect. You will also need to change the default CODEC if needed . Its also important that the busy ratio (upptaget nivå) is correctly defined in the “options” TAB for correct DSP selection.

Using Offline configurator Step 2… System Options Select the quantity of :- DECT Cell Stations 2 channel cell station DPT interface 4 channel cell station CS IF card interface 8 channel cell station IP interface Calculation Options Allow CSIF -> DLC (forced on) If you select a 4 channel CS connected by a CSIF card then you could not have a NCP. However if this is checked then the interface is “over written” so NCP becomes valid and the DPT interface will be used. Allow IPCS-> DLC This is similar to the above rule. This time if you select a IP cell station and this option is checked then the configurator can change it to a normal DPT CS, if required DECT PS Information Total DECT portable stations DECT repeaters 2 channel repeater IPCS Options Power Supply – define how the IP cell station will be powered AC adaptor PoE CODEC – define the CODEC used for IP Cell station G711 G729

Using Offline configurator Step 2… System Options Select the quantity of :- Voicemail and attendant Messages / DISA / AA Channels Quality Messages Recording Time Minutes Share Voice Processing System Automated attendant Interview services Menu Levels Email intergration Time hours Number of menus LAN access Language guides Tenants Mailbox LCD language ACD report server Mounting VPS Maintenance If VPS is set to auto simply answer the above questions and the system will recommend the most suitable VPS.

Using Offline configurator Step 2… System Options Select the quantity of :- Options Remote maintenance Analogue modem Memory expansion CTI CTI 3rd party CTI 1st party Door phones Door openers Concurrent voice channels Control EIO card Sensors Relays Preferred IP Switching Busy ratio – changing this value will define which DSP will be offered IP Switching - you can specify if Cards or licencing will be used or auto select Advanced features – define if advanced features are required Network and CTI IP encryption Power supply Minimum power level – used for defining the power supply size, if required Emergency power supply Autonomy time A/Hr Model – you are required to supply a model number here and .. Price – price information System mount PBX mount Lines Extensions

Using Offline configurator Step 3 Part Specification System will now calculate the PBX which matches your requirements. Valid configurations are displayed in Orange and invalid models are displayed in RED. The models are arranged with the lowest cost option on the left moving to the higher cost items and finally displaying invalid configurations on the right. Click on the required platform to produce the output proposal document

Using Offline configurator Step 4 Hardware You will now be presented with the hardware for your configuration. It will include model numbers descriptions and price. Please note that the price contained within the price book is the one that will be valid on placing an order. You can generate a PDF document of the hardware or export to excel via CSV. Summary This allows you produce a summary proposal document and its here you can add installation costs to the quote. Similar to above you can generate a PDF or a word document with the details If you wish to change any items then you can simply click the required TAB and change that item

Using Offline configurator Step 5 Project Click search offer to retrieve a saved offer. You can then enter values like configuration name or search dates. Click on the required quote and make any changes or reprint the configuration as required. Updating local database file Click on your user name. This will display Edit your profile data. You can now browse for the new database file and then apply changes. Note once the database file has been loaded it is advisable to close the program and reopen.
