Attendance  By looking at our daily schedule you can tell that our day is very full of learning. A lot of these experiences are hands on and cannot be recreated or sent home for make-up when they are absent.  We understand that sickness, and emergencies happen. Please do not send your student to school sick. However, please make every effort to have them at school ON TIME, EVERY DAY!

Weekly Assessments  FRIDAY ATTENDANCE IS VITAL!  We assess students every Friday in multiple areas that we have been working on during the week. Language Arts Assessment Spelling Test Math Skills Quiz  Practice will be sent home for these assessments in the weekly homework packet.  Weekly Assessments are almost impossible to make up. Please make sure that your student is in class ALL DAY on Friday.

Homework  Expect to see homework folders that come home each week.  At Home Reading – 20 minutes a night.  They will be reading for comprehension, and will be completing a book report to be shared with the class once a term.  Please sign the Reading Calendar that will be sent home at the beginning of each month and due at the end of the month.  10 minutes of other review  On occasion there will be homework that requires extra time. i.e. book reports or research projects.
