FOODS WE EAT

 We all need food to live.  Food helps us to grow.  Food gives us energy to work and play.  Food keeps us Healthy and Strong.  Food also gives our body the power to fight against harmful germs.  We feel cheerful and happy after eating food.

Kinds Of Foods On the basis of importance foods can be divided into following three groups. They are:- Energy-giving Foods Body building Foods Protective Foods

Energy-Giving Foods RICE POTATOES SWEETS SUGAR

Body building Foods FOOD GRAIN EGGS PULSESMEAT PEASMILK

Protective Foods Green Vegetables Fruits

Food Hygiene We should protect our food from Dust, Dirt, Flies. Food grains should be properly picked before cooking Vegetables should be properly, picked before cooking Vegetables should be properly cleand and washed so that all dirt and dust are removed from them. Food should be cooked in clean utensils. Cooked food should be properly covered

PROPER FOOD HABITS We should take meals in clean surroundings. We should wash our hands before and after eating. We should eat in clean utensils. We should eat fresh home made food. We should chew our food well. Take that much food in your plate which you can eat. Do not throw food in dustbin.

Dear God, Thank you for the different shapes, colours, smells, and tastes of fruit vegetables. Thank you for all the fruit and vegetables growing in fields and gardens. Thank you for the people who prepare and cook them for us to enjoy. Amen.
