Administrative & Operations Division Aaron Quarles, Chairman of the Board Executive Committee Responsible for the operations of the Chamber and to ensure that its programming meets the needs of the membership. This can be accomplished by anticipating the future needs of members by identifying, exploring and developing innovative programs, services, and delivery systems. The committee also will oversee all programs and projects of the Chamber. Treasurer - Justin Holder Responsible for working directly with the Chamber staff to ensure that the Chamber is financially responsible and that monthly financial reports are made available to the Board of Directors. Budget Develop budget based on projected funding and programs needed to accomplish the mission of the Chamber of Commerce. Board of Directors Responsible for fiscal planning of Chamber of Commerce and setting policy for the operations with guidance from the Executive Committee. Program of Action Committee Responsible for reviewing existing programs and adopting new programs that need to be implemented to accomplish the Chamber’s mission. Annual Meeting Responsible for planning the Annual Reception and Membership meeting. Past Chairman – Paul Kisel Past Chairman will serve in an advisory capacity to current Board of Directors. Nominations Make nominations of new Board members and officers for the Chamber of Commerce.

Communications & Public Relations Jennifer Reed, Chairman Elect Membership Communications, Wes King and Russell Wilthers, Directors Internal Media Assist with development of content for VISIONS publications to ensure it is a quality publication. Assist staff in distribution of VISIONS. Review Chamber’s website on a regular basis to ensure that it contains up-to-date content and projects a professional image of our Chamber and Community. Utilize social media on a daily basis to create awareness of the Chamber’s name and programs. External Media Work with Chamber staff to ensure press releases are furnished to the media for all Chamber programs and to ensure the public is aware of Chamber activities. Host a reception for area media to express appreciation to them for their coverage of Chamber programs. Use digital billboard to promote the Chamber and its members and events. Community Events & Projects Coordinate programs with the Convention & Visitors Bureau and assist as needed in planning special events of community interest. Involve as many members as possible in these programs. Clay Shoot -- Help plan and coordinate the Clay Shoot event by soliciting sponsorships, teams and volunteers to ensure that the event is a success.

Membership Division Jennifer Reeves, Vice President Membership Services, Sharon Rolirad - Director Member Events Plan memberships events to include opportunity for all members to participate. This could include breakfast meetings, luncheons and business after hours. Continue the weekly HUB (Helping United Businesses) meeting. Ambassadors Organize a group of members to represent the Denison Chamber of Commerce at ribbon cuttings, ground-breaking ceremonies and other events that require official representation of the Chamber of commerce. Legislation Stay informed of legislation that impacts our Chamber members and inform members of legislation that will impact their businesses. Membership Campaign, Jerrie Cato– Director Conduct organized membership campaigns to recruit new members. Ensure that all businesses in the area are extended an invitation to join the Chamber of Commerce. Maintain ongoing membership program that targets new businesses that locate in Denison. Develop a new membership sales packet to better depict the benefits that the Chamber provides to its members. Set a goal of 50 new members. Retention Develop new ideas to improve retention of members. This can be accomplished by telephone calls to members; Member of the week recognition on FaceBook; recognition of members on billboards; Flash mobs at member businesses.

Community & Business Development Paul Kisel, Past Chairman Business Development, Bryan New, Director Training & Seminars Coordinate seminars for small businesses on topics that are pertinent to the growth of their business. Co-host programs with other professional organizations when appropriate. The HUB Host weekly breakfast roundtable networking sessions to address concerns that the membership and community might have in regard to quality of life and economic issues. Host a monthly or quarterly luncheon roundtables for members. Mega Mixer Co-host with the Sherman and Pottsboro Chambers of Commerce a mixer during Texas Chamber of Commerce week and provide opportunities for members of all of the Chambers to showcase their business/services. Community Development, Karen Stidham, Director Education Awareness Committee Ensure that the existing programs, Kits for Kids, Educator Appreciation, Star Reader, Texas Scholars are continued. Organize events to recognize DISD educators. Develop programs as needed to encourage our youth to excel and to show support of the DISD. Sponsor an event for GC faculty to show support of the college and its role in providing a quality workforce. Transportation Committee Work with the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation to ensure Grayson County and Denison receive necessary funding for our highway system. Stay abreast of all issues impacting highway system projects in our area. Young Professional Group Work closely with the Young Professional Group to ensure they continue to develop programs and activities that will encourage other young professionals to live in Denison. Also, ensure that the YPG continues the Youth Leadership Academy.

Convention & Visitors Bureau V. J. Patel, Vice President Tourism Development, Kris Spiegel - Director Marketing Committee Develop advertising program to promote Denison as a tourism destination by placing advertisements in magazines, newspapers, utilization of billboards and other media. Publications Committee Publish and distribute a full-color brochure to promote Denison as a tourist destination. Develop and print an updated version of the walking/driving tour brochure of historical structures. Review other publications and assist in updating as needed. Publish a calendar of events of both chamber and community events. Publish a city map to assist visitors to the area. Events, Bob Taylor & Jonathan Likarish - Co-Directors Parades Organize Memorial Day Parade and Christmas Parade which attract visitors to Denison as well as creating community pride. Aviation Plan activities for U. S. National Aerobatic Competition pilots. Assist the IAC in organizing and promoting the annual competition at North Texas Regional Airport. Assist in hosting the Lone Star Aerobatics. Fall Festival Coordinate with Denison Main Street program to organize and expand the annual Main Street Fall Festival to attract visitors to our community. OTHER EVENTS Support events that attract visitors to our area and develop new methods to promote Denison which will create a sense of pride in our community as well as impact our economy. Targeted events to include car shows, fishing tournaments and youth sporting events. Solicit large conventions that will utilize the Texoma Event Center and create lodging for all of the existing properties.

Affiliated Organizations Denison Area Council Jamie Underwood– President Provide staff support and be responsible for its fiscal management. The Arts Council’s goal is to promote cultural activities in the Denison area. Leadership Institute Cap Chesser & Phyllis Loe, Co-Chairs Provide staff support and assist with development of curriculum to train future leaders to serve on boards and as elected officials. Assist YPG with the Leadership Academy for DISD high school students. Denison Community Foundation Norman Gordon – President Provide staff support for the foundation and be responsible for its fiscal management.
