2 RSAC / Membership First all-student reception at SciTech 2015 was very successful, repeated at SPACE  Award breakfast nice, could be improved STEM K-12 Committee now under AIAA Foundation  Charter developed  Mission executed via working groups (9 now) –Regular review Career and Professional Development Committee chartered  Merges Career and Workforce Development (VP-Membership) and Professional Member Education (VP-Education) committees Region VII is about 18% of AIAA  How included in governance? 2

3 RSAC / Membership Membership Committee considered, abandoned:  Restructured lifetime membership dues  Inclusion of technical papers in membership package Updated section award nomination, scoring and process AIAA AF: 180 nominations, 147 approved (fewer than allowed)  Proposed removal of one-year Sr. Member requirement AIAA Marketing  Membership and recruitment plan –Email templates for sections  Want to capture engagement with sections (need AIAA number) –Might be possible with replacement for SharePoint 3

4 YP-conducted survey and actions YPs want to build communities they can trust and give direct input to industry direction in a time of uncertainty regarding the future of aerospace Positive  Networking, technical pubs, industry news (Daily Launch)  Good opportunities to participate on TCs & PCs, support pubs and policy — when aware and when asked Negative  Many AIAA offerings (conferences, courses) too expensive  YPs not being reached by local sections; not aware of YP programs Conferences not supported by employers; most YP supervisors not AIAA members Direct personalized emails from AIAA are the best communication tool Mentoring Working Group, pair with local professional  Networking, career guidance and opportunities, advocacy, visibility, leadership  Pilot program planned for 2015-2016 in four sections (Huntsville, N. Ohio, Dayton/Cinn, Tucson) 4 teams established: Strategy, Development, Engagement, Network 4
