ONE ACT AUDITIONS! August 3:45pm in the theater Prepare one- minute monologue (Dramatic). Must be memorized! August 11 th - Callbacks posted by 8 am. Students must sign callback sheet to anticipate their attendance August 4 pm (cold readings) August 12 th –cast list is posted by 8 am. Information must be picked up by cast August 13th- Script read through/ discussion 3:45-6:15pm Parent /student welcome 6:30 (one guardian per cast member is required to attend)

SATURDAY SCENE BUILDS Objective: Students are encouraged to attend scene builds to learn the other aspects of Theatre and use their skills to create theatrical productions. Students and parents are welcome to participate - All scene builds are open to all students and parents. Please come by and work with us! Scene builds begin at 10 am and end at 5pm. - The side door (by the theater) will be open for volunteers to enter by 10. Locked afterwards. NO ADMITTANCE AFTER 10 AM Lunch break is at 1 pm- Students are expected to bring a lunch with them. We will have a 30 minute break to eat. Parents are allowed to drop off lunch at 1 pm. Light snacks will be provided. No one leaves until the space is clean- We are responsible for the mess during scene builds. All projects cease at 4:30 during scene builds. Once the space is returned to a clean space, all workers are free to go. Cellphones are allowed ONLY outside of the working area and during lunch. - Please contact Carlile if constant contact is a must and arrangements will be made. Workers are required to wear the appropriate attire- Long hair pulled back from face, clothes that are allowed to be dirty or painted, long pants, and closed toe shoes are a must during scene builds. Volunteers MIGHT be send home for improper attire.

WHO IS THE BOOSTER CLUB, AND WHAT DOES THE BOOSTER CLUB DO? Group of parents who assume the roll and responsibilities of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sophomore Rep and Freshman Rep. Supports and promotes the Theatre Education Program at Creekview High School

HOW DOES IT SUPPORT? Volunteer Monthly Meetings Donations Organizing and executing projects and events Promotions Budgets Fundraising (Primarily Concession Sales)***

WHAT DOES THE FUNDRAISING GO TOWARDS? Booster Club Fundraising Scholarship / Hardship support Social Events (i.e. Meet and Greet) Banquet Awards Wishlist Items for Theatre Support Items to build Booster Club Pre- Production Meals

CREEKVIEW DRAMA CLUB Meetings: every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 3:45 to 4:30. -Meetings provide students with announcements, and fun activities. Off campus outings at least one every couple months. -These group activities range from seeing a show at the Fox Theater to ice skating. Purpose: To create a family type atmosphere within Theatre. Audition workshop on Friday, Aug. 7th in the Drama Room 3:45 to 5 pm Hosts: Drama Club officers Purpose: To provide new students a look into the audition process and allow for them to receive feedback on their audition monologue before the One Act auditions on August 10th.

INTERNATIONAL THESPIAN SOCIETY MEETS EVERY 4TH WEDNESDAY 7:45 IN DRAMA ROOM. Being a member of the Thespian Society provides students the opportunity to broaden their horizons by auditioning for scholarships, performing with new people, and trying out for the opening and closing numbers at Thescon. Is compromised of members within the drama community who have compiled 10 or more thespian points throughout their years in the program hours of work is 1 point (1 ½ scene builds is 1 point) Induction into the Thespian Society can be done as soon as the end of freshman year! - Creekview thespians are inducted into Troupe 7124 Thespians have the opportunity to attend the Thespian Convention in Columbus, Ga. with their troupe every February. (Thescon) - All Georgia high school troupes are invited. It is filled with theatre workshops, experience other high school shows, and receive scholarships. Those who are currently Thespians have the opportunity to be part of a possible improv troupe here at Creekview. More details to come.
