Presentation transcript:

Raley Creek News Dear Neighbors, Let me first extend our appreciation to the 73 homeowners (51%) who have contributed to the Garden Club as of March 20th. Without your support, we would not be able to make our neighborhood better. I have attached a list of the participants along with a map of those who have participated. We really appreciate your support!! In looking through past years, this may look like a good participation level, however, I don’t think so. How can half the neighborhood pay for everyone’s benefit? The Garden Club will not be buying a brick fence and will not be using funds to take our neighbors to court. Let’s leave that baggage in the past. This money is for one purpose, improving and maintaining the entrances, everyone’s entrances, and ultimately increasing everyone’s property value!! Some people may argue that $60 a year is too much. I agree. However, we need to get the entrances up to a reasonable level of appearance and maintenance. Once that is done, it should cost a fraction of that to keep them up and even less if everyone participates and the Fort Caroline entrance is closed. If you have not participated, please mail your $60check payable to the Raley Creek Garden Club at the address below. If you would rather buy something specific like a tree or lighting or need to make payment arrangements, let us know. The Garden Club is an investment in your property, too! On March 9th, Jennifer and I hosted the first of many Raley Creek Advisory Board meetings. The Board Members that were in attendance and some of the ideas discussed are listed to the left. Everyone brought their passion for our neighborhood and lots of suggestions. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, March 30th. We will be having a cleanup day on Saturday, April 10th from 8am until 2pm. The focus of this day will be cleaning up the entrances, trimming trees and bushes, and raking all of the leaves left over from the Fall. Any time that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. Please bring a rake and gloves and meet at the Monument entrance. On Saturday, April 24th, we will have a landscaping day to plant the new landscaping. This will also be from 8am until 2pm. Bring a shovel, a wheelbarrow, and your green thumb!! I hope everyone likes the new lighting I installed at both entrances. It really makes a big difference. This is just a taste of the changes to come, but it can’t happen without you! My goal is simple, make Raley Creek a $300k community in 2-3 years! We already have several houses selling for $250k in our truly unique neighborhood! Thanks for your support!
