Pathogenesis  Inflammation in RA is a complex interaction of cellular and humeral factors  Begins in cells called Macrophages  The immune response is mediated T-lymphocyte cells  Major target tissues of immune response is synovium

Rain Hands  Hands and wrists are the most common location for deformities caused by rheumatoid arthritis  RA damages joints  The tendons over joints slip and cause the fingers to bend toward little finger  Muscles in hand thicken and weaken, creating valleys between the long tendons

RA in Gums  RA and gum disease are relieve both conditions by treating mouth infection  It said that patients who improved their oral hygiene had treatments: scaling, had reduction in arthritis symptoms  Both are inflammatory conditions and gum disease is more common in people with rheumatoid arthritis

Pregnant Women with RA  Pregnant women have high risks of high blood pressure, having an underweight baby or needing a cesarean section  They found that women with RA had a two-times higher risk of pre- eclampsia a potentially dangerous condition, marked by high blood pressure and protein in urine, that develops in second or third trimester

Signs and Treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis  Doctors rely on medications, therapy and surgery to treat the symptoms of RA.  Nonsteroidal anti- inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the most common drugs used to treat RA.  However, doctors recommends to use also other alternative like physical therapy

Thank you for Watching  We hope you all have learn something from our presentation  The END
