The mission of the Department of Business Information Systems is to enhance and nurture the intellectual, professional, academic, interpersonal and social development of students by providing lifelong learning opportunities focused on contemporary Information Technology for the dynamic global economy.

Strategic Goals…. Goal 1 – Curriculum Provide rigorous, IT relevant curriculum that supports implementation of best instructional practices to sustain high student achievement. Goal 2 – ResearchGoal 2 – Research Create a sustainable research unit that encourages a culture of careful, intentional inquiry into learning, foster systematic collection and thoughtful use of data relevant to IT education, and create a rigorous, team-based approach to research that earns respect globally.

Strategic Goal… Goal 3 – Placement Provide opportunities, through internships and employment, for students to develop professional skills and to integrate knowledge gained in courses with real-life situations related to Information Technology Goal 4 – Leadership Enhance the leadership, decision-making and business and IT management capabilities to better prepare students for work in a diverse and global society.
