KASA (2015) Get Set Tryout activities Determine number of activities to carry out depending on: Time constraints Estimated number of players Activity sheet Use KASA’s or communicate with the other coaches and create your own Based upon: Technical Ability Physical Conditioning Awareness of the Game Every player that goes thru a station you’re at, receives a score Timing your players provides an important and unbiased rank for each player Talk to the parents Welcome and brief parents on how the tryout will be carried out Give tentative dates for results Be ready to perform the best tryout in the area Represent KASA the best you can! Be positive and use clean words 3 Kerry

KASA (2015) Go Split into smaller groups depending on: Number of stations Number of players Coaches / Assessors available Run players through all stations In groups Individually For each activity, score each player Use a 1-5 rating scale; 5 being exceptional and 1 needing work Give some players the opportunity to repeat an activity only if you feel it will make a difference 6 Kerry
