Elephant Habitat Elephants are able to survive in a variety of different locations because of the huge variety of food sources that they consume. Many people assume that elephants that are in the wild only live in the grasslands. While that is one of their main habitats, they can also be found in the desert of the Savannah, forest areas, where there are swamps, and everything in between.

Tiger Habitat The tiger is native to Asia from the Caucasus and the Caspian Sea to Siberia in the north and Indonesia and even in Borneo and the Philippines in the south. Tigers use to had a huge habitat because they are able to adapt to different types of environments which range from the Siberian taiga to open grasslands and tropical mangrove swamps. However as it can be seen on the map, their habitat has been reduced dramatically.

Giraffe Habitat Giraffes are natives of Africa where they run wild in the tall grasses of the open planes. However, they will also survive in the woodlands as well as along the savannahs. Giraffes will move to where they need to in order to find food. Many people assume that since giraffes feed on leaves high in trees that they would want to live where the forests are thick and plentiful. However, this wouldn’t be good for them due to their height. They need lots of room to maneuver.

Polar Bear For the polar bears that's habitat happens to be in the southern most p art of the polar region, in Manitoba, Canada on the Hudson Bay, find it difficult to follow  the retreating ice and are forced to remain on the land.  These polar bears live  off fat deposits that they have gained from eating well in the  winter.  As with  the polar bears in the northern region, when the ice pack  forms again in the  fall, the polar bears return to the frozen sea, to the ice packs.

Red foxes Habitat Red foxes live around the world in many diverse habitats including forests, grasslands, mountains, and deserts. They also adapt well to human environments such as farms, suburban areas, and even large communities.

Rabbit Habitat When it come to living environment, wild rabbits have many different areas covered. They set up camp in a broad assortment of habitats, including woodlands, agricultural sites, sand dunes, deserts, mountains, scrublands, forests, grasslands, marshes and rainforests. It isn't even uncommon for wild rabbits to occupy the frigid landscapes of tundra's. On the whole, rabbits can successfully survive in the majority of climates.

Camel Habitat The favourite camel habitat stretches across the Arab peninsula and Africa. Camels prefer dry deserts and arid lands to inhabit. Initially confined to Arab, this animal is now more prevalent in Somali, Sudan, Kenya and other African countries.

Eagle Habitat Throughout their range, bald eagles use forested habitats for nesting and roosting, and expanses of shallow fresh or salt water for foraging.  Nesting habitat generally consists of densely forested areas of mature trees that are isolated from human disturbance (Buehler 2000).  Daytime roosts are generally in "super canopy" trees which are very large trees which will poke above most trees in the forest and are adjacent to shorelines, and are typically located away from human disturbance

Bat Habitat The bat is a creature that is highly adaptable. Research shows that there are very few places in the world where they don’t reside. They typically will reside in caves where they have access to water, safe places to hide from predators during the day, and plenty of food. Large colonies of bats often form and you will rarely find just a few of them in a given location.

The blue peacock The blue peacock lives in India and Sri Lanka, while the green peacock is found in Java and Myanmar (Burma). A more distinct and little-known species, the Congo peacock, inhabits African rain forests. Peafowl such as the blue peacock have been admired by humans and kept as pets for thousands of years.

Parrot Habitats Parrots can be found mostly in tropical and subtropical climates in Africa, Australia, South America and India.  Surprisingly, they can also be found in some cities and suburbs.  When planning an eco-tour to see wild parrots you need to consider the climate, time of year (breeding season, monsoons, etc) and where the species that interest you can be found.  Every experience is different and it only takes a strong El Nino to throw the weather out of kilter.   You also need to consider your level of physical fitness.

Dolphin Habitat Dolphins are found living in bodies of water around the world. They are found in all of the oceans, and they are a common attraction for people to come see. Dolphins are known as being gentle creatures and there is a type of mystic curiosity surrounding them too.

Starfish Habitat Starfish live in oceans and seas around the world; they thrive in salt water and live in tropical and temperate waters alike. These hardy creatures generally congregate far below the surface of the water and spend most of their time crawling along ocean floors.

Anaconda Habitat Anacondas live in swamps, marshes, and slow-moving streams, mainly in the tropical rain forests of the Amazon and Orinoco basins. They are cumbersome on land, but stealthy and sleek in the water.
