Organizing for Success Classical Center at Brandenburg Middle School

Begin your success with a 2 to 3 inch ring binder with 14 dividers added For each class section you will have two dividers: one labeled graded papers one labeled class notes

Your pencil bag should include: 2-3 pencils 2-3 black/blue pens large eraserglue stick map pencilshighlighter

As you enter each class: 1.Get out your agenda and write down class work and homework that your teacher has on the board or overhead. 2.Some students get teachers’ initials at the end of each class. 3.Your agenda is a great place for information to be exchanged between parents and teachers. For organization, a Braves agenda spiral is essential.

What do you need from your schedule? Locker number & combination ID number NPIN number

How can teachers help students be successful in their organization?  Hole-punch all papers that are passed out.  Allow several minutes for students to organize during class.  Be repetitive with directions.  Have high expectations.

Check your binder once a week to keep it clean and orderly. You are now on the road to being organized and achieving academic success!!!
