The Wii is a home video game console released by Nintendo on November 19, This console is different from all the other gaming systems because it works by our own body motions. The Wii console involves a lot of active movement, which are fun and exciting for young children and adults. Most of the games give you the feeling of playing your favorite sports and activities, in which your own body movements are used control the game. The Wii

1.Remotes 2.Nunchuks 3.Wii Games 4.Wii Fit Important Wii Features

The Wii Remote controller is the heart of the motion gaming experience on your Wii console. It responds to motion and rotation for enhanced control as you swing, swipe, thrust, or turn the controller. Your gaming experience will become more active and realistic than you ever thought possible with the wii remote. Each console comes with a remote. Wii Remotes

Hook the Nunchuk accessory up to your Wii Remote for even more flexibility in compatible games. The Nunchuk has similar motion- sensing technology, along with two buttons and a Control Stick. This allows you to move characters around while performing more specific and complex actions with the Wii Remote Plus controller. Each console comes with a Nunchuk as well Wii Nunchuks

There are a lot of fun Wii games that can also promote physical activity such as Wii Sports, which includes Boxing, Tennis, Bowling, and Golf There is also Wii Sports Resorts which includes Air Sports, Archery, Basketball, Bowling, Canoeing, Cycling, Frisbee, Golf, Power Cruising, Swordplay, Table Tennis and Wakeboarding Another fun game is the Wii Just Dance Video game which involves a lot of movement and dancing as well as burning calories while having a great time. These games are EA Active 1 and 2 EA Training Camp Wii Games

Wii Fit requires the Wii Balance Board,a unique platform that the player must stands on while they play Similar to a bathroom scale, the Wii Balance Board is capable of measuring a person's weight, but is also able to detect the person's center of balance. Most activities generally focus on improving posture and being active. Wii Fit

Incorporating the Wii console would benefit our students both in the short term and long term. Short term It will provide every student with an equal opportunity to succeed. ( the bigger kid doesn’t always win) Great alternative for those students who don’t enjoy working out in P.E Can become an easy and fun way to prepared for physical fitness tests Students will have a lot of fun playing it and burn calories at the same time. Long Term The Wii is a lifetime activity that students can take with them outside of school and do for the rest of their lives. How It Would Benefits Our Students

The Wii console can benefit us by providing our teachers with a new way of teaching. Teachers would be able to develop alternative lesson plans for their students to stay interested in their course and focused This will also force all of our teachers to become more involved with technology. Our world is driven more and more with technology so our teacher’s must begin to adapt and include it in their lesson to stay up to date. Teachers would be able to incorporate physical education even on rainy days Instead of packing the gymnasium with 100 students, we could take some students into a classroom and have an organized active lesson with the Wii How Can It Benefit Our School

As a seventh-generation console, the Wii primarily competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. Nintendo states that its console targets a broader demographic than that of the two others.
