NINTENDO WII New generation console for Nintendo Revolution In the works since 2000 Released in 2006 2006

NINTENDO WII During the creation of the new Nintendo, the inventers decided to name this new console ‘Revolution’. This was a good name because it was an enhanced version compared to them all with plenty of new features. After discussing a new name for the Nintendo, they decided that ‘WE’ would be a great name considering it is a new game for children and parents to be able to use. However, they wanted a name that could be pronounced in every language. Therefore, Nintendo Wii was invented. Their main goal for the Nintendo Wii was to revolutionize the ‘gaming’ industry. They wanted to give the players a change to interact rather then sitting down using your hands. For this reason, they made a hand device that is motion detected. This new console became very popular quickly due to its new high tech features. They also wanted to make the console affordable and for parents to be willing to buy Wii for them not to worry about their children's health. For instance, with all the other Nintendo’s, none of them invented (excluding Nintendo Wii) were game systems that were interactive. They all required hand motions rather then motion gaming. They can say that Nintendo Wii improved customers health that use Wii. For example, Wii Fit is one of many games that help improve balance, stability, stress and much more.

The Nintendo Wii console is compressed in a small, light weight box. This console can be placed standing up, or laying down, either way works perfectly. It has many new features when compared to other Nintendo devices, such as, digital storage cards, memory cards, USB devices, or connect to your wireless network and can also handle Nintendo GameCube controllers. For instance, while playing sport games, a player can swing a racket, drive a car, throw a ball etc. Also, if held sideway, the Wii controller can be used as a Nintendo controller. Wii CONTROLLER

Similar to a household scale. To balance board is made from pressure sensors that sends signals to the console telling it each movement from the player. The console also is able to sensor the movements and balance from its Bluetooth technology inserted in the board. Producer and designer of video games, Shigeru Miyamoto says that the “Balance Board's ability to measure weight is probably more accurate than that of a typical bathroom scale”. Wii BALANCE BOARD

HEALTH In Canada, along with many other countries in the world, people suffer from obesity each year. Even though Nintendo Wii is a game, it has been proven to help improve people’s health issues. ‘Gamers’, children and adults use Nintendo Wii as a new form of exercise. The University of Toronto is developing a “therapeutic video game” to help children that suffer from hemiplegic cerebral palsy ( Paralyze side of the body). Practicing on Nintendo Wii will help their body grow stronger. They believe that Nintendo Wii will help improve the majority of people’s health. Nintendo Wii gains their advantages with people that want to loose weight. Active games can fight children obesity according to Mayo Clinic in the January issue of Pediatrics. In the same study, they realized that children burned 3 times more calories compared to sitting down playing video games.

This is proven to be the first invention of a motion detected remote by Goschy due to the début of his video back in 2000. Nintendo Wii then created their own Wii Remote as of 2000 and then released in 2006. Therefore, Goschy’s plan was to sue Nintendo for stealing his idea. This is the original video of Patrick Goschy and his invention:
