{ Checking Your Books In & Out At Brock Elementary Wouldn’t it be wonderful to save time when you come to the media center? This quick tutorial will show you just how to do that by checking your books in and out all on your on!

1. Always bring in your yellow library card. 2. Always bring in the books you are returning if you have any. Without these very important items you will not be able to check in or check out your books. You will have to return to class to get them.

The Check in computer screen will look like this. You will not have access to the computer’s keyboard or mouse. So if the computer screen doesn’t look like this please see the Media Specialist or Media Clerk immediately! Follow these 2 easy steps to check your books in: 1.Scan the barcode on the back of the books you are returning. (Please don not touch the scanner) 2.Drop the book into the book drop box!

The Check Out computer screen will look like this. You will not have access to the computer’s keyboard or mouse. So if the Check Out computer screen doesn’t look like this please see the Media Specialist or Media Clerk immediately!

1.Scan the barcode on your yellow library card. (Please do not touch the scanner) The computer screen will now look like this: Make sure this is you! If not, see the Media Specialist or Media Clerk for help.

2. Scan the barcode on the back of the library books you are checking out. (Please do not touch the scanner) The computer screen will now look like this: You should now see your “Checked Out” Books and the Due Date.

3. Scan the Reset barcode card attached to the scanner to clear your name. (Please do not touch the scanner) The computer screen will now look like this: You’re Done Checking Out Your New Library Books!
