Confirmation 2 Service Project By: Thomas Russell

Service Which ministry I joined: St.Joseph Workshop. Why: I joined St. Joseph's workshop because it was a form of service that I liked more than the others. I had gone to St. Joseph’s prior to being in Confirmation and decide since we were told to join a service this one seemed the most convenient. I found it convenient because I knew some of the people already, my grandfather was an active member, and best of all it worked with my schedule because I am a student athlete and I already have a busy schedule so it was extremely convenient for me.

Questions and Answers 1.Describe the ministry that you joined? St. Joseph's workshop is a service where once a month sometimes more you clean up around the church and fix whatever is broken. 2.How/When did you serve? I had served in St. Joseph's Workshop prior to being in Confirmation so around 3 years however I was not always able to attend. 3. What did you have to to do to prepare? There isn't much reflection or prayer needed in St. Joseph's just physical labor.

Questions and Answers 4. What did you learn about yourself while serving in the ministry? I learned that even small gestures can do a lot. 5.What was the most challenging part of your service? Waking up early to drive to the church and being there for several hours working around the church. 6.What was your favorite thing? Talking to some of the people listening to their stories.

Questions and Answers 7.Would you like to continue in this ministry? Yes if I have the time because soon I’ll be off to college. 8. Is there another ministry that you would like to know more about? No, I looked into the other ministries to determine which one was the most convenient and worked with my schedule.
