1. TRUE MOTHER AND TRUE FATHER MEET FOR THE FIRST TIME By: Jasmine :D

2. Hak Ja Han’s mother, Mrs. Hong, came home later than usual and there was joy in her eyes. “Well, I had a most interesting day,” she announced joyfully. “Where were you, Omma?*” asked her daughter. The grandmother stopped to listen. “I met Kim Halmoni’s uncle. I met him and he invited me to a new church. I thought I was dropping in for a little visit, but I was there for hours. The church is called the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity.” “What a long name,” observed her daughter. “Yes-well, they want to bring together all Christians. And guess what? You know I’ve been talking about the Lord of the Second Advent all your life- right?”

3. “Right, Omma.” “Well, they say he is here in Korea, they said if I study their book, I will learn exactly who he is.” Her daughter listened. Mrs. Hong became very busy in the days that followed. She continued working but she spent every spare moment either attending the church in Chun Chon or reading the book which explained the revelations of the founder and leader.* Often, while reading this book, she would remark how spiritual or intelligent the man who wrote the book was. She would say how she could barely believer her good luck and great joy. Mrs. Hong asked her daughter if she wanted to go to service with her. Hak Ja Han said she’d like to in hopes to find what made her mother so happy.

4. Ms. Hak Ja Han hadn’t really studied other religions so much but coming to this church had felt right to her and as she studied the book, she knew she could dedicate her life to this. Mrs. Hong soon decided to go to Seoul to meet this great man herself. “It will only be a few days,” she said. “He may be the one I’ve been looking for all these years, but I can hardly believe it. I just have to meet him.” However, when Mrs. Hong went, she didn’t want to leave so she became the teacher- Sun Myung Moon’s cook. Hak Ja Han missed her mother but she focused on her studies. When Mrs. Hong returned, she explained everything about Seoul and the people in the church and most of all, about Father. “He’s the one I’ve been looking for and preparing for. Kim Halmoni and Mrs. Ho and all their followers were looking for this man, but I’m the only one who actually found him.” Her eyes saddened as she remembered the sacrifices they made, even unto death. Well, she would serve him remembering them and she would teach her daughter to do the same.

5. Mrs. Hong asked her daughter if she would like to meet this man. She replied, “Oh yes, I would Omma.” Everything in Seoul was different: more noise, more buildings, more everything, it was all interesting to Ms. Hak Ja Han. As she went to the church, she felt a sense as if she were coming home. When they met, Hak Ja Han bowed deeply. Then she stood still, waiting for him to begin the conversation. “So this is he,” she thought as she gazed at him. Then she realized he was looking into her eyes. “You have a very beautiful daughter, don’t you?” he said to her mother. Then, with a smile, he asked, “Does she study well?” “Oh yes.” answered her mother proudly

6. “What is your name?” “My name is Hak Ja Han.” There was a pause and he closed his eye and then softly, almost as if in prayer, he said, “Oh Heavenly Father, you have given such a woman, Hak Ja Han, to this country of Korea!” Hak Ja Han wondered why he would say that. It seemed God had a plan for her already at age 14 and True father knew she would play an important role. After they returned home, she thought everyday about her meeting. She decided to be a strong member of this church and to follow him always. She resolved to always live strictly, praying to always be pure and good.

7. Questions: Father saw that that 14 years old girl was so special. Can you guess how? Mother was prepared for an important mission. We, too, are being prepared by God. What do you think our mission can be?
