HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS PRESENTATION PRESENTED BY: BELLA DONNA NATURAL HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONER

DID YOU KNOW…. ????? ▪ PMS headaches are often caused by too much copper in the system? ▪ Arthritis pain could be caused by toxic metal poisoning of cadmium, lead or mercury. ▪ Magnesium supplements may prevent brain damage of alcoholics. ▪ Adequate zinc intake could help regulate blood pressure levels. ▪ Chromium, magnesium, manganese and vitamin B6 deficiency can be related to diabetes? ▪ Beryllium, lead, cadmium, nickel and arsenic poisoning can cause cancer.

WHAT IS A TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS? ▪ A test that measures mineral content of your hair and it reflects the mineral content of your body’s tissues. ▪ A bio-unavailable look at mineral deficiencies and excesses. ▪ A look at metabolic dysfunctions before any symptoms appear. ▪ An explanation to health conditions which could be unexplainable with standard tests. For example: DepressionMigraines HypoglycemiaHypertension HyperactivityArthritis and inflammation Thyroid DisturbancesEmotional issues AllergiesDiabetes

WHY HAIR TEST? ▪ Minerals are the ‘sparkplugs’ of life. ▪ This is a great screening tool. ▪ It can foretell health issues before they are severe or irreversible. ▪ It is very non-invasive. ▪ It is affordable, relative to many other testing options. ▪ Toxins are easily detected.

WHAT MINERALS ARE TYPICALLY TESTED?  Macrominerals include calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and phosphorus.  Trace Minerals include iron, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, chromium, and some labs measure others.  Toxic Minerals include lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, aluminum, and nickel.

EXAMPLES OF NUTRITIONAL DEFIENCIES SYMPTOMCOULD INDICATE White spots in fingernailsZinc deficiency Ridges in fingernailsIron deficiency Brittle hair and nailsCalcium and copper imbalance Grooves in fingernailsCalcium deficiency Stretch marksZinc deficiency Mood swingsToxic metal accumulation

BASIC METOBOLIC TYPES FAST Fast oxidation is defined on a properly performed hair mineral analysis when the calcium/potassium ratio less than about 4 AND when the sodium/magnesium ratio greater than about The lower the calcium/potassium ratio or the higher the sodium/magnesium ratio, the faster the oxidation rate. Makes up 80-85% of population Tend to need more Vitamin D Increased adrenal and thyroid Prone to bacterial infections 1+ bowel movements daily Attract specific toxic metals- cadmium, aluminum and nickel Have a tendency to be warm or hot Tendency to high blood pressure SLOW Slow oxidation is defined as a calcium/potassium ratio greater than about 4 and a sodium/magnesium ratio less than about The higher the calcium/potassium ratio or the lower the sodium/magnesium ratio, the slower the oxidation rate. Makes up 15%-20% of population Tend to need little to no Vitamin C Decreased adrenal and thyroid Prone to viral infections Typically tend towards having constipation Have a tendency to be cold Tendency to low blood pressure

HOW CAN THIS TESTING BE BENEFIICAL TO YOU? 1.Tool, used as blood work to indicate specific health issues before they happen

WHAT DOES A HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS TEST CONSIST OF? 1.Small sampling of hair collected and sent to lab. 2.Cost range $80-$ Review of lab report. 4.Recommendations of changes to move your health into a better direction via: Supplements Specific diet Life style changes
