Why Cooking? Statutory 2 X 1 hour Physical Education is delivered in schools each week After school activity provision has grown by 83% since 2009 Food and Healthy Eating education is more ad hoc across schools Cooking and food preparation is the most accessible health-related activity that families can do together – we eat everyday!

Make Space Development Fund Clubs, schools and youth organisations can apply to the fund for grants to create or develop after school clubs and activities. The use of the grants will be determined by the Make Space guidelines which were created in consultation with young people.
