Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Use the collaborative content features You want all new hires to participate actively in the new hire orientation program. For this, you will use tools that help you and the new hires share and brainstorm ideas. Live Meeting provides you with collaborative tools that you can manage in real time, allowing you to engage the audience and gather or distribute information and feedback. They include the Whiteboard, the Poll Page, and the Text Page.

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Use the Whiteboard To ensure that the orientation program addresses the needs of the new hires, you want to capture their expectations from the training. You display a Whiteboard and ask each new hire to enter their name and their expectations from the program. By engaging your audience with the Whiteboard and annotation tools, you can ensure their active participation in the program.

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Use the Whiteboard A Whiteboard is a collaborative feature that allows attendees to share ideas, brainstorm, and add annotations. By using the annotation tools, you can draw freehand, add shapes or text, change the color of text and images, and highlight and arrange information in a logical manner. Inserting a Whiteboard is easy. As a presenter, in the Content pane, click Share, and then click Whiteboard.

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Use annotation tools You ask each attendee to use the annotation tools at the bottom of the Live Meeting interface to enter their name, location, and expectations on the Whiteboard. Annotation tools help you brainstorm, or to call out a specific portion of the screen. You can use these annotation tools to highlight or add notes on presentation content, including Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentations, snapshot images, Whiteboards, and imported documents.

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Use annotation tools After the attendees have entered their expectations, you can use the Select tool to select and drag the names on the Whiteboard to place them in alphabetical order. You can also point to specific areas of Whiteboard or highlight them.

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Select Annotations: This tool is used to select an annotation. You need to select an annotation to move, delete, or modify it. Pointer: This tool is used to draw the attendees’ attention to a specific area on the displayed slide. It works like a laser pointer. To point to a specific portion of the presentation area, click and drag the pointer across the presentation area. Draw Text: This tool is used to enter text. From the drop-down menu, you can select options to change font and text size. Draw Freehand: This tool is used to draw shapes freehand. Color Picker: This tool is used to change the color of the text and drawing annotations. Use annotation tools Live Meeting provides the following annotation tools:

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Highlighter: This tool is used to add a highlight to a specific area of the displayed slide. Use annotation tools Live Meeting provides the following annotation tools: Stamping Tools: This tool is used to insert a stamp on the displayed slide. There are three different stamps available: the Arrow Stamp, the Check Stamp, and the X Stamp. Clear Annotations: This tool is used to delete all the annotations from the displayed slide.

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Use the Poll Page An easy way to keep attendees engaged is by using polling slides. Polls provide the opportunity to conduct a basic needs assessment, encourage attendee participation, or solicit feedback from the audience during the Live Meeting.

Live Meeting 2007: Presenter's companion Use the Text Page A Text Page is a blank, editable page on which the attendees can collaborate and type text content.
