6 For class today-Adjusting Your Viewing Area Customize the standard view by minimizing or closing unnecessary panels Use ctrl+h to hide or un-hide panels Use F5 to initiate full screen and F5 or the escape key to reenter the meeting console Use the view drop down menu to access the viewing options or to restore the default panel layout Note: Participants must initiate these views on their own. F5- full screen

7 Objective 1- Navigate the Console The Live Meeting console is simple to navigate. It uses: Microsoft® Office ® look and feel Familiar controls Toolbar and Shortcut buttons Presenter Panels

10 You can use a variety of sharing options: Sharing Frame –Toggle between multiple applications. Size the Sharing frame to expose only those parts of an application you want to share. Desktop share –Share everything on your desktop –Provide more freedom and ease of navigation through multiple programs Application share –Select one application –Share control of the application with one participant at a time or with many –Provide privacy by restricting view and control of your application Objective 2- Learn Sharing Options

11 Share icons Click the “Import a document” link to share a document Click the “Application” link to share an individual application, your whole desktop or the sharing frame

12 Sharing a document to edit Click Share Document to Edit Select the document Live Meeting shares your document with all participants and places you in the “sharing view”

14 Use the application share shortcut button or the share drop down menu and click Share Application Select the application Live Meeting shares the application with all participants and provides the toolbar for navigation Sharing an application

19 Manage Resources Any time you share a document a resource is created It then resides in your resource list Choose Tools/Manage Resources to see a list of all resources Each resource is listed independently A resource can be any printable document such as a PowerPoint® presentation or a Word document Select and right-click a resource for management options

20 Objective 3- Manage a meeting As the Presenter you have many options to manage your meeting and work with those who attend. You can: See who is “in charge” in the presenter panel See who has joined in the attendee panel Lock a meeting and the Meeting Lobby Use the seating chart to ask quick questions and determine the status of your participants Take and answer questions from your participants Import files or share applications

25 Seating Chart Get feedback from participants without interrupting the audio portion of the call Great for large calls that are listen only Can be used for ad-hoc polling –“Those in favor turn your seats blue.” Should you slow down or speed up? Participants can change the color of their seat.

26 Question and Answer Panel Participants can submit questions for you to answer privately or publicly How many questions have been asked? Answer your participants. Type here to submit a question.

27 Question Manager Select the question you would like to answer View and print a log of your Q&A session View the question. Type your answer Post it publicly for everyone, or privately back to the submitter

28 Objective 4- Interactive Capabilities Polling –Create a questionnaire for your participants –Use for feedback, quizzes, and interaction Snapshot –Take a picture of anything on your computer which becomes a resource –Use for screen shots, pictures, and last minute images Whiteboard –Add a whiteboard to your presentation. –Use for brainstorming, flowcharting, posting ideas, leaving messages Web –Create a slide or resource that allows everyone to work independently on a designated website. –Use for post session surveys, online sign-up forms, or research Text –Create a slide or resource for text. Copy and paste information to/from here. –Use for task lists, outlines, meeting minutes, or anything textual

30 Insert a Snapshot Place your cursor at the position in the Resources list where you want the new slide to appear Click the Snapshot icon Center the snapshot frame over anything visible on your desktop Left-click the snapshot button and choose take snapshot The image is Imported into your resources
