You will be given the supplies needed to build and test an Angry Birds Launcher and an Angry Birds tower. Goal: Use your problem solving and design skills to build, test and then win the Angry Birds competition! Production Technology Fairview Jr. High

Angry Birds Competition Guidelines Use only the tools and materials provided to build and test both an Angry Birds launcher and tower You may wish to split the group and have some members work on the launcher and some on the tower. Make sure to communicate your ideas to all members! You may modify your materials, if necessary, with the tools provided. Any necessary machine or power tool work must be done under the supervision of the teacher. Once you have a working prototype, test it on your own tower. Your launcher must be able to adjust it’s aim up and down and from side to side. Your launcher must be able to adjust it’s distance of launch closer and farther. Your tower must securely hold up the 3 balls and you must be able to knock them free with your Angry Bird launcher. During the competition you will have to knock down the towers of the other teams. Points are scored as you knock out the balls. The maximum points are achieved if all three balls are knocked down on the first shot. Reduced points on the 2 nd and 3 rd shots. You will have a maximum of 3 shots at the tower per turn. Each team will have an opportunity to knock down the other groups towers. Team with the most points at the end wins!
