Directorate of Agencies for School Health:

 Partnerships are critical to delivery of comprehensive services to students and families  CAS/ Sample School Policy & Procedure  Addiction Counselling services  School Resource Officers (Police Agencies)

1. Motivational Substance Abuse Counselling: Ongoing assessment and counselling are provided for students with alcohol and/or drug abuse problems and academic, emotional, behavioral, legal or other addiction related problems. 2. Recovery Counselling: Counselling is provided to students who have recognized an alcohol and/or drug problem and are motivated to maintain an alcohol/drug-free lifestyle. 3. Concerned Person Counselling: Counselling is provided to students who have family or friends with substance abuse problems. 4. Parent Services: The School-Based Program serves concerned parents in the school. 5. Other Services: In class presentations, training for school staff, School Council presentations and outreach to feeder schools.

 Schools are assigned an SRO (School Resource Officer). SROs work on building healthy and trusting relationships with children of all ages and backgrounds by becoming a familiar presence in their school experiences.  Public safety and awareness campaigns  Specific interventions for students at risk
