Chinese Class Selection

Old Regulation (Suitable for international students entrance before 2013) O For someone who needs Chinese(1) or Chinese(2).According to your Chinese courses placement test: 1. “Entry” and “Medium Entry” level can select general education: 初級華語溝通. ※ If you do need to select “ 初級華語溝通, ”come to BIBA’s office and make register. Staff of General education will help you to add this class to your schedule.

Old Regulation (Suitable for international students entrance before 2013) 2. “Medium Advanced” and “Advanced” can select Chinese (1) or Chinese (2) of local students. ※ You don’t have to worry about you are not good enough for the class. You will have lots of chances to get extra points. Attendance and showing your ambition to learn are keys to pass the class.

O For someone who needs Citizenship Literacy or History of civilizations, You can select these courses with English teaching. Old Regulation (Suitable for international students entrance before 2013)

New Regulation O Chinese courses will be combination courses: 1. Chinese (1)+ Citizenship Literacy, 5 credits. 2. Chinese (2)+ History of civilizations,5 credits. Students must select two courses at the same time for the same semester. If student fails either course, it means you have to take both courses (total 5 credits) again. (Suitable for international students entrance after 2013)

Chinese courses placement test O Date: 2013/01/04 (Saturday) O Time and location will announce in BIBA’s website later. O It’s very important to take this test, please remember this schedule and show up on time. O 2013/01/13 will announce the result in BIBA’s website.

2014 Spring Semester O For Advanced students, you will have your Chinese class on Monday morning and Friday afternoon. O Some Freshman may have trouble to join Chinese class. For example: Freshman student will have “Economic(2)” and “Introduction to International Business” at the same time. Therefore, advanced students are allowed to switch to class A join these two class.

Future Chinese course time O From 2014 Fall semester, Chinese courses will place on both Monday morning and Friday afternoon. O If you need to select Chinese courses later, please remember this timetable.
