Aim of the Presentation  To overview the results of language learning promotion and dissemination activities of EuroIntegrELP project by the academic staff of Utena College, Department of Foreign Languages, from October 01, 2004, to September 30, 2007

Our Target Group – Utena College Students

Promoting Foreign Languages 1  EAQUALS-ALTE ELP dissemination seminars for students  Preparing students for writing articles and making presentations in international and national conferences and seminars  Students’ preparation to present Utena College during international fairs of Practise Training Firms, VIVATUR, STUDIES  Consulting students before international competitions, organized by the international associations, e.g. EURHODIP, SPACE

Promoting Foreign Languages 2  Motivating students to participate in exchanges and international mobility, e.g. Leonardo da Vinci students’ exchanges projects, Socrates mobility  Teaching incoming students from abroad  Introducing optional courses on Dutch and Spanish for beginners at Utena College  Organizing international, national and local events for foreign language lecturers and students  Participating in international mobility, e.g. Leonardo da Vinci mobility projects, Socrates mobility

Promoting Foreign Languages 3 English courses for Utena Community:  Course for businessmen  Courses for the academic staff and administration in the Labour Exchange and enterprises German seminars for teachers, organized at Utena College

EAQUALS-ALTE ELP Lithuanian Version  Translation of EAQUALS-ALTE ELP  Revision by the in-house expert  Revision by the Lithuanian language specialist at Utena College  Documentation phase  Integration and harmonization of the ELP, validated in Lithuania for the upper secondary education to EAQUALS-ALTE ELP  Revision by an independent expert

Overview of Project Activities and Results 1  Dissemination seminars on EAQUALS-ALTE ELP held  Lithuanian version of EAQUALS- ALTE ELP included  Students’ presentations made and articles wriitten  Prize places won by students during the international events  Excellent, very good and good evaluation of students’ performance and academic results during the exchanges and mobility  Continuously incoming and outgoing students

Overview of Project Activities and Results 2  Lecturers’ in-service training quality, cooperating with institutions of higher education and enterprises abroad  Organized international, national and local conferences, seminars and courses held  Cooperation with international partners  Continuous cooperation with social partners in Utena County

Conclusions  EuroIntegELP project encouraged additional activities at Utena College, Department of Foreign languages  With the help of partners representatives a positive answer for the EAQUALS-ALTE ELP Lithuanian version was received from the Ministry of Education  At Utena College linguistic competences of the academic staff has become one of the priorities indicated This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
