Where do they live?  Pandas are found in the mountains of China  They live in cool, wet, cloudy bamboo forest

Physical Traits  The panda has opposable thumbs to help it eat bamboo  They have very thick, oily, wooly fur that helps them keep warm and dry in their wet mountain habitat

Learned Behaviors  To protect her baby the mother panda laps her own poop and covers her cub in it so the predator looses its sent  Also eating, climbing, walking, and squeaking are learned

Diet  The panda is an Omnivore  It eats lots of bamboo!!! But occasionally they will eat other vegetarian fish

Interesting Facts  There are only about 1,600 pandas left  Out of 1,600 pandas left, 127 are put in zoos  Giant pandas eat about 22 lbs. of food each day  Pandas are a symbol of peace in China  Panda cubs are usually born in August and September
