2 Interactions with Other Plants and Animals
Panda bears are shy and solitary that means they prefer to live alone. Panda bears have highly noticeable black and white coats so that they can see each other in the wild so they can avoid one and other. Panda bears can leave markings like scratching tree bark to say a panda already lives here to also avoid other panda bears. As you can see panda bears like to live alone and don’t spend that much time with other plants or animals.

3 Predator and Prey Panda bears are prey to some big birds, leopards, wild dogs, and humans. Panda bears are predators of small rodents, bamboo, sometimes fish, wildflowers, grasses, they will also try to find honey, and some different fruits. But only baby panda bears are prey to animals because since they are pretty large animals they aren’t really prey to animals.

4 What Do Panda Bears Look Like?
A panda bears body is covered with black and white fur. They have black fur around their eyes, ears, legs, and shoulders. Panda bears also have a white stubby tail. Panda bears have a thick, woolly fur that protects them from harsh weather.

5 Where Do Panda bears Hang out? (Habitat)
Panda bears have moved to higher and higher living quarters since humans have took the panda bears habitat. Now panda bears live on the high mountain slopes of central china. They spend most of the year at elevations between 5,000 to 12,000 feet which is 1,525 to 3,600 in meters. Some of the things people did to make panda bears move up mountains to a new habitat was farming, forest clearing, and other things like those.

6 Panda Bear Weather and Temperature
On the mountain slopes it is very cool so cool that they travel down hill in the winter to get warmer. The weather can be snowy, damp, and like I said a second ago it can be cool. When they used to live in forests they were used to weather with a lot of rainfall and a dense mist.

7 Where Do Panda Bears Sleep?Do they hibernate or migrate?
In the winter they migrate down hill to get warmer. They can sleep in lots in different places like trees, mountain slopes, and other places. They can sleep in different ways like on their stomachs, on their backs, on their sides, and other different ways. They do stay awake during the winter like some other animals its just that they move down the mountain.

8 How Are Panda Bears Affected By Pollution?
If the mountain they live on got polluted and their food could die then they could die and since they are rare if to many panda bears died they could become extinct. Yes they are affected by pollution you can tell that they are because they are really rare because they don’t just become rare in one second. They moved up to high areas because people have polluted and messed up their homes.

9 Panda Bear Adaptations
Panda bears have a special thumb its an extension of its wrist bone it helps the panda to hold things. Unlike most bears, panda bears have well developed molars they are flattened on top so that the panda can chew though tough bamboo shoots. Panda bears also have strong jaw muscles that they can use to crush hard bamboo stalks. Panda bears have excellent hearing and a good sense of smell which makes up for their poor eye sight.

10 Hungry Panda Bears (Herbivore , Omnivore or Carnivore)
Bamboo makes up 95% of a panda bears diet. Did you know that the average panda usually spends10 to 16 hours each day eating they consume between 20 to 70 pounds of bamboo. Even though they are mainly vegetarian they almost have the same digestive system as carnivores. Some people say panda bears are herbivore and some people say they are carnivore but I say they are omnivores since they eat fish and plants.

11 Survival of the Panda Bears in the Arctic
The panda bears might survive in the arctic. They might survive since they have had to adapt to living in higher cooler places since people took over their homes in the forests. Because way up on the mountain and in tall trees would be cool.

12 Fun Facts about Panda Bears
Most panda bears are born in a hollow tree or a cave. Usually 1 or 2 are born at the same time if 2 cubs are born it is very rare that both will survive. The red panda is nocturnal it looks for food at night just like a normal panda the red panda likes bamboo. Giant panda bears are the most endangered animal in the world several thousand years ago they where much more common and they lived throughout southern and eastern china.
