5  The Bengal tiger uses teeth to get food. The Bengal tiger is a carnivore. That means it is a meat eater. The Bengal tiger uses his long canine teeth to kill his food and get the meat for his dinner. The tiger often kills its prey with one bite.

8  The Bengal tiger is a carnivore. That means it is a meat eater.  The tiger often kills its prey with a bite on the neck.  It eats deer, pigs, antelopes, cattle, young elephants, and buffalo.

9  Many tigers live in tropical rainforests, mountain forests, and snow covered northern forests. The Bengal tiger lives in the tropical forest. He uses wheat to camouflage his body to sneak up on his prey.

11  The Bengal tiger can live to about 18 years. Bengal tigers like to live alone, but they sometimes travel in groups of 3 or 4. These tigers are in danger of becoming extinct because they are over hunted by poachers. Here’s a picture of a mother Bengal tiger and her cub. Tiger cubs stay with their mothers for two to three years.

12  They can protect there territory with their canine teeth.  Now there are 7,000 left in the world.  There are lots of hunters who kill them.  They killed 100,000 tigers.
