Grizzly Bear By: Jack Lindholm A grizzly bear is a unique animal that lives in the forest.

Description A grizzly bear is a mammal that lives in the forests. They have big heads and thick fur. A grizzly bear is a type of large brown bear. They are 7 feet long. They weigh up to 1,500 pounds. They have black, brown and blonde colored fur.

Habitat Grizzly bear live in forests, cool mountains, near rivers and valley in north America. They are solitary which means they live alone. They live in dens or caves.

Diet A grizzly bear is an omnivore it eats both plants and meat. They eat plants, roots, berries, fungi, fish, small mammals and large insects. They can climb for food.

Survival A grizzly bear does not have many predators except human beings. They are a threatened species. They are solitary. They live up to 25 years. They try to survive from humans.

Other Facts Grizzly bears eat grass. The males do not help raise the cubs. They are born blind and without hair.

Conclusion There are no other animals quite like a grizzly bear.
