The Manawatu Digi Awards “The Manawatu Digi Awards is a student eLearning competition and awards evening. Participation will enhance students' creativity and digital citizenship. Teachers will be inspired to further develop their ability to integrate e-learning effectively into their practice, creating innovative and exciting learning environments. The awards evening will provide an opportunity for students, their families, whanau and friends to share and celebrate eLearning excellence.”

Aims  To introduce the Digi Awards and requirements.  To develop staff ICT skills in relation to Microsoft PowerPoint.  To gain some practical ideas for using these skills in the classroom (and for Digi Award Entries).  To consider what this means for Term 3.

Deadlines  St James’ Deadline: Friday 23rd September  No more than 10 entries for each section and category will be accepted from each school. (e.g. 10 x Year animation; 10 x Year animation; 10 x year animation.) Schools must decide on the best entries to submit.  We will have our own competition within the school with certificates. The best entries will be entered into the awards.  Digi Awards Deadline: Friday 30th September
