Voting Rights Amendments 12 th Amendment The Twelfth Amendment (Amendment XII) to the United States Constitution details electing the President and Vice President. It replaced Article II, Section 1, Clause 3, which provided the original procedure by which the Electoral College functioned. Problems arose in the elections of 1796 and The Twelfth Amendment was proposed by the Congress on December 9, 1803, and was ratified on June 15, 1804.

Voting Rights Amendments 15 th Amendment One of the “Civil War Amendments” (Amendments 13,14,15) The Fifteenth Amendment (XV Amendment) passed by Congress February 26, 1869, and ratified February 3, The 15 th Amendment granted African American men the right to vote. African American Men get the Right to Vote!!

Voting Rights Amendments 17 th Amendment The Seventeenth Amendment (Amendment XVII) to the United States Constitution established direct election of United States Senators by popular vote.
