Did You Read Our January Newsletter? If you did, you would have seen a couple of items that we now present to you for consideration. See the newsletter for full details on either of the following topics.See the newsletter  CSCSC “Join Us in the Supply Chain” Video – David Long, Executive Director of IWLA’s Canadian Council, says that, “This is a video that should be on every association website where logistics or supply chain management is a core competency.” The video captures, in a dynamic three minutes, the essence of supply chain work; it illustrates the diversity, the importance, the pace and the excitement of working in the sector. It provides a feel for the range of possibilities that exists in this sector, and illustrates how critical efficient supply chains are to the economy and even to our health and well-being. If it’s not on your website, we think it should be. It’s available to view or download at and  Don Borsk Canadian Supply Chain Career Awareness Fund – To support the Council’s partnership with Junior Achievement of Canada, the Purchasing Management Association of Canada plans to donate to the Don Borsk Canadian Supply Chain Career Awareness Fund in lieu of providing gifts to speakers at its June annual conference. Through the Fund, the Council is raising money, initially to hold a Junior Achievement Canadian Supply Chain Day, when volunteers – supply chain champions – will be placed in classrooms in at least eight provinces on the same day. After the Supply Chain Day, the Council will continue to raise money to enable regular placements of volunteers across Canada. Volunteers will share information about their experiences working in the supply chain; in doing so, they'll help to build awareness of and interest in the sector. PMAC challenges your organization to donate to the Fund in the same way that it is.Don Borsk Canadian Supply Chain Career Awareness Fund Presentations on HR Study Results In late March, the final report of the Council’s HR Update Study will be released. It will provide a state-of-the-sector update based on feedback from 1,357 employers, as well as employees and educators. The Council would be pleased to present information from the study at your national, regional or chapter events.
