Objective Standard information will be given about the lesson plan Lesson outcome will be provided Teaching procedure will be outlined Assessment activity will be explained Assessment Criteria will be discussed

Standard Information Nursing student will encounter many patient with type 2 diabetes during their career. This lesson plan asks the nursing student to develop a teaching plan for a patient with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Lesson Outcome By the end of this course the student will be able to: Apply information on Type 2 Diabetes from the internet to a teaching plan. Write at last 2 learning objective for the patient who has Type 2 Diabetes. Develop and implement a portion of a teaching plan for Type 2 Diabetics. Create a method to evaluate patient learning.

Type 2 diabetes is a disease in which your pancreas does not produce enough insulin, or your body does not properly use the insulin it makes.
