2. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
understand the importance of planning in the teaching- learning process.
explain the relationship between assessment and planning as well as how each aspect impacts one another.
apply a smart method not only in lesson planning but in setting goals or objectives

3. Definition of Terms:
Planning – the process of setting strategies, procedures, educational objective, etc. in advance.
Instructional planning – the ability of the teacher to visualize and forecast into the future the “what”, “why”, and “how” of the teaching learning process.
Instruction – the transfer of learning from one person to another.

4. What is Domain 5?
Refers to the alignment of assessment and planning activities. In particular, it focuses on:
on the use of assessment data to plan and revise teaching- learning plans
Integration of assessment procedures in the plan and implementation of teaching-learning activities;
reporting on learner’s actual achievement and behavior

8. CHARACTERISTICS:
It should be simplistically written and should clearly define what you are going to do.
It should provide a tangible evidence that you have accomplished the goal.
It should stretch you slightly so you feel challenged, but defined well enough so that you can achieve them. You must possess the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to achieve the goal.
It should measure outcomes, not activities. State what results can be achieved given available skills, knowledge, and resources.
It should be linked to a timeframe that creates a practical sense of urgency, or results in tension between the current reality and the vision of the goal.
