D1: Evaluate your skills against a given public service role.
Analyse means..

3. Securing the Criteria
P4: Carry out a personal skills audit for a given public service role
P4 requires you to look your skills levels, and complete your own individual skills audit, assessing your own skills and qualities and applying them to a given role in a public service organisation. (i.e. how do your current skills and qualities help to prepare you for that role)
M1: Analyse your skills against a given public service role.
M1 requires you to examine your skills in more depth against a given role, looking at their own skills and explain if and how these could be developed further. You can use examples to support your analyse or any information you might have been given by visiting speakers or while visiting one of the services.
D1: Evaluate your skills against a given public service role.
D1 requires you to evaluate your skills against the given role and give evidence of how your skills might be developed to meet those needed for the role. This requires you to show judgement that is supported with evidence.

Individually you need to complete your skills audits.
You need to assess your skills and qualities on the 1 – 5 scale and you need to give evidence of where, when and how you have used these skills and qualities.

Now that you have finished your AUDIT you need to do part b) You you need to analyse and evaluate your skills against a given role in a public service. You should detail how these skills and qualities might enable you to perform the role well and you need to identify which skills you will need to improve / develop further. This will provide you with evidence for P4, M1 & D1.

6. Part b) The Interview…
You will need to book an appointment with your teacher when your written self-assessment is complete.
You will be asked to explain your assessment and then you will be asked a series of questions.
The questions will cover your assessment and will highlight the way you would like your future career to develop.
With consideration for your strengths, weaknesses, interests and ambitions, and the ways in which the public service of your choice may itself change and develop in the future.
