For nouns ending is s, x, z, ch or sh add -es PLURAL Box Boxes Pitch Pitches Wish Wishes Boss Bosses Buzz Buzzes Glass Glasses SINGULAR

for nouns that end in o, add -es Singular Noun Plural Noun Potato potatoes Tomato tomatoes Hero heroes Echo echoes Bango banjoes The plural of many words ending in o can be spelled with -s or –es.
