Healthy food is important to prevent chronic diseases: obesity, heart disease, diabetes or cancer Healthy food is fruit, vegetables, milk products, meat.

Our body needs five things: Carbohydrates Protein Fibre Vitamins Minerals

Carbohydrates and protein Carbohydrates are rice,pasta, potatoes, bread. Proteins are meat,fish,cheese and eggs. Protein helps to build your body,so it is very important for teenagers,because your body is growing.

Fibre - fruit and vegetables contain fibre - lots of teenagers don't eat fruit and vegetables, but they are very important.

2-5% sugar 15-18% protein 20% fat 25% fruit and vegetables 35% complex carbohydrates
