9 © CommNet 2014 Eating a balance To stay healthy we need to eat a balance of food from the below: Lots of fruit and vegetables; Lots of bread, rice, potatoes, pasta and breakfast cereals; Some milk and dairy foods; Some meat, fish, eggs, beans, nuts and tofu; 6-8 glasses of fluid a day! Any food or drinks high in fat and/or sugar should only be present in small amounts.
