LASTREICHMOOR INC. REVIEW: ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY Evan LaRocca Kate Luzmoor Jessica Streicher

Preview  Things done well with presentation  Things that could have been improved  Reactions from readings  Reactions from presentation  Our conclusions about AUP

Pros from presentation  Understood topic  Well researched  Persuasive and informative  Examples  GCR, RBS  Recommendations  Pros and cons  Employees and customers

Things to be improved  Legal aspects surrounding AUP unclear  Talked more about different AUP’s  Given a specific example for LaStreichmoor Inc.  Better Prepared

Reactions from Reading  “I thought that the readings that gave examples of banks using AUP were very helpful. It cleared up all questions I had about AUP and painted a picture for me on how it works and why it is used for companies such as banks.” ( Sample Policy) Sample Policy  “The readings were to the point and specific to the category they were put under. That made the process of reading them a lot easier. I enjoyed applying these concepts to the world of banking.”  “It would have been good to include a pricing structure to give the reader an idea of how much a system like this would cost to implement.”  “I thought it would have been a bit more useful if the readings were connected to each other a bit more.” Good Reactions Bad Reactions

Reactions from presentation  “I really enjoyed their presentation. They seemed to be well educated on the subject, which made it easy to listen to. They all seemed to know what each other was presenting, and were able to assist when needed.”  “I thought that they did a good job of presenting in a professional manner and it flowed fairly smooth.”  “Good examples of AUP from existing websites.”  “Be prepared to speak. Some of the members of the group were not prepared to present and therefore came across as uninformed and possibly out-of-touch with the rest of the group.”  “There were apparently a few areas that they didn't give very thorough background details allowing a windows of opportunity for Mr. Sullivan to "raise concern" on some issues.” Good ReactionsBad Reactions

LaStreichmoor Inc. Conclusions  Good idea to implement AUP  Employees and customers  Understand ramifications of no AUP  Understand the necessity of AUP  Benefits  Customers and employees  Provides trustworthiness
