While driving through the city with a buddy of his, Igor mentioned reading his Bible, to which the other guy said, “Oh, I do not believe the Bible – it’s full of a million errors.” Igor responded beautifully. He said, “Wow! Really?! Full of a million errors?” His driver said, “Yeah.” “Where did you learn that?”, Igor asked. “It was in this book I read.” Well, that was enough ambiguity. Igor responded by asking, “What do you mean by ‘errors’? Based on what?” “Well, I don’t remember exactly, but you know, it [the Bible] is just an old book that is just wrong.”, said the guy. Distressed, Igor sighed, “Well, I have really admired the Bible all this time and if this is true, I need to hear more about this. Can we stop at Starbucks and talk more – maybe about the top 50 errors?.. “

A bit pointed, because of their close relationship, Igor said, “One. Give me one of these so-called errors that causes you to dismiss God’s Word, based on some book by some guy. How about one?” He couldn’t. His “belief” was full of passion, but empty of content. Igor started the conversation based on his friend’s comment. He listened carefully to what he said and then began to evaluate the logic to himself. He then pursued a series of questions based on his friend’s words. As the questions continued, they narrowed to an obvious conclusion. His friend realized at this point that he believed something he knew not... the “hiccup.”
