Junior Certificate Paper 1: Focus on Comprehending (Understanding) and Composing (Writing)

In order to prepare for Paper One you are expected to study five specific styles of writing: The language of narration The language of aesthetics (Descriptive) The language of argument The language of persuasion The language of information

Learning Outcome: Write a persuasive article using persuasive Language

The Language of Persuasion: Used to convince people of a particular viewpoint Usually contains facts and figures Appeal to our emotions Where you will find these language styles: Newspaper articles, debates, speeches and advertisements.
